How to Get Rid of a Tan

A tan is something that people spend hours in the sun to acquire, especially in the United States. Occasionally the face and body gets tanned due to overexposure to the sun and some people just don’t like it. If one was to consider some of the Eastern cultures like Indian culture fair skin is considered a great asset and people would go to great lengths to become fairer. In these cultures people increasingly use home remedies and spices like turmeric and saffron are extremely popular for acquiring a fair skin. They would not like to acquire a tan at all. Whatever the reason why you want to lose tan you can do so by following these simple steps:

1.    Have warm baths and apply soap when you take bath. Use an exfoliating scrub and scrub gently.

2.    Apply juice of a lemon, keep it on for 3-4 minutes and then wash off.

3.    Apply a little hydrogen peroxide with a cotton ball on the skin. Wash off with a damp cloth or cotton. Don’t keep for more than a minute.

4.    Rub some tomato and cucumber juice on the tan. Let it dry for a few minutes. Wash off the juice with clean water.

5.    The tan will gradually fade away if you avoid the sun.

6.    Applying a paste of curd and rice powder on face in circular motion and then leaving it on for 10 minutes is a great way of removing sun tan.

7.    Apply a mix of lemon juice and honey and leave it for a few minutes. This method definitely removes tan.
