Winter is a pleasant season. Cold weather, hot cups of coffee, holiday fun, skiing, colorful and warm clothing, cuddling up in bed and reading books—but winter also brings with it some problems like dry skin, cold and cough and of course static cling.
Follow these steps to get rid of static cling:
You can make use of special sprays that are designed to get rid of static cling. Spray these products on your clothes to prevent static cling before you wear your clothes. Sprays like static guard can be bought at your local department store. Keep them handy during winters so that you can completely keep static cling at bay is a great idea.
You can also use special sheets, called dryer sheets, when you put your clothes in the drier. These sheets are designed to stop static cling and make the fabric softer. These are available in your local department store and are mixed among other brands of dryer sheets. You can also use fabric softener to stop static cling.
Keep your skin moist by applying lotion to your body, especially after bathing or showers. This stops clothes from clinging and causing an unpleasant sensation while keeping your skin healthier.
During winters static cling tends to increase in the laundry. Separate the clothes when you put them in the dryer. Do not put the synthetics and the cotton clothing together. Use dryer sheets when you do your laundry. For clothes that become clingy too much rub the dryer sheet to the clothing before you put them in the dryer.
Take out the clothes from the dryer while they are slightly damp. Lastly keep your skin slightly moist by applying moisturizer and taking the other outlined tips above. That will take care of any static cling that might be generated.
