The first step is to kill the baby lice (nits) and adult head lice. This step can be difficult and complicated because head lice have developed resistance to some pesticides. Getting rid of adult lice is a necessary step because it helps break the cycle of life of head lice. Use natural products, home agents such as olive oil, mayonnaise or petroleum jelly (Vaseline) for head lice. These work by asphyxiation and make it easier to sort out the nits and lice. The second stage in the process of getting rid of head lice is to remove all the nits (eggs). Third, after initial treatment, you need to work on the environment. Clean the house and the things which are commonly used, as in the bathroom and bedroom of the infected person.
